Renowned security expert, Dr. Ona Ekhomu was born March 26th 1955 in Irrua, Edo State, Nigeria. Ekhomu is the first chartered security professional in West Africa.

Author of the highly acclaimed book on security awareness: Effective Personal & Corporate Security (2009), Kidnap: Face to face with death (2014), he is also president of the Association of Industrial Security and Safety Operators of Nigeria (AISSON) and the Africa Representative of the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO).

A Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) No. 14210 and Certified Protection Professional (CPP) No. 8851, Dr. Ekhomu obtained the BA (History) from Voorhees College, Denmark, South Carolina USA 1977. M.A (Political Science) from the Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa 1979; and PhD (Public and International Affairs – Policy Management) from the University of Pittsburgh, USA 1985. He attended the Security Officer Training Academy of Allegheny County in Pennsylvania USA (1986). He obtained the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Act 235 Lethal Weapons Licence in 1986.

A management consultant, policy analyst and corporate security consultant, Dr. Ekhomu is the Chairman of Trans-World Security Systems Ltd., Chairman of the School of Management and Security. He is also President of Trans-World Security Systems Inc. of Chicago, Illinois USA. Ekhomu is the Regional Certification Representative of ASIS International (Africa Group 11 — West, Central and Northern Africa), former member of the CPP-IDG Committee of the Professional Certification Board (PCB) of ASIS International.

He is the former Regional Vice President (RVP) West & Central Africa of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS International) – 2002 to 2007; former Chairman of ASIS Nigeria Chapter – 1999 to 2001. Member of the International Review Board of the Journal of Security Education (New York, NY), National President of the Global Association of Private Security Practitioners (Abuja, Nigeria); Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Industrial Security and Safety of Nigeria. Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM); Member of the Academy of Security Educators & Trainers (USA), National Fire Protection Association (USA), and the International Organization of Black Security Executives (USA).

Ekhomu holds the chieftaincy title of Fiwagboye of Ilewo (Ogun State) and Ogbeni of Irrua (Edo State). He’s a biographee of Who’s Who in Nigeria (2003), Corporate Nigeria Who’s Who in Business (1992). Who’s Who in Finance and Industry – USA (1987), International Youth in Achievement- USA (1981), Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges (1977).

From March 2005 to December 2010 he has authored a weekly column on security awareness – RED ALERT published in SATURDAY PUNCH newspaper (Lagos, Nigeria). Since March 2011, he now writes the weekly column RED ALERT in THISDAY Newspaper (Lagos, Nigeria) He writes a column on security matters for a magazine SECURITY WATCH AFRICA captioned RED ALERT AFRICA. From 1986 to 1987 he wrote a column captioned CORPORATE SECURITY in BUSINESS CONCORD Newspaper (Lagos, Nigeria). He has written several articles in scholarly journals and has contributed chapters to several books.

In February 2014, Ekhomu was honored with the Security Pioneer Award by the Port Harcourt Chapter of ASIS International. In January 2011, he received the Quarter Century of Service Award from ASIS International. He was the recipient of the Police Community Relations Committee Area A Lion Building Ambassador of Peace Award 2010. In March 2010, he was invested with the National Daily Newspaper “Special Recognition Award for Private Security Services in Nigeria.” In November 2007 he was awarded the Golden Star Award for Private Security (Operation) by Security Watch Africa. . He was the recipient of the International Day of the Family Awards 2006. In 2004, Dr. Ekhomu was named the Private Security Chief of the Year by the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria.



Dame, Chief (Mrs.) Victoria Omonigho Ekhomu was born December 18, 1958 in Igueben Edo State. She is the Managing Director of Trans-World Security Systems Ltd, Lagos based asset Protection Company. The Executive Vice-President of School of Management & Security, the foremost Training Institution in Nigeria. She is also ASIS International’s African Advisory Council Chairman, thereby presiding over Africa. She is the immediate past Senior Regional Vice President for West, Central & Northern Africa., for ASIS International from 2010- Dec.2015. Regional Vice President for West, Central Africa, from 2008-2010. She also was the Chapter Chairman for ASIS, after having served as Program Chairman, and Secretary. ASIS International is the world’s largest professional security body, with over 38,000 members.

Mrs. Ekhomu attended the University of Pittsburgh USA, (MPA 1986); the University of Lagos, (BA 1979). In September 2005, she earned the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation from the Professional Certification Board of ASIS International, USA, the highest professional Certification, worldwide. She attended the Advanced Management Program of the Lagos Business School (2001). She is a Trustee of AISSON (Association of Industrial Security & Safety Operators of Nigeria). A fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Industrial Security; and a trustee of the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO). Victoria, is the immediate President of LBS/AMP12 Class (Lagos Business School) and the National President of SMAGOGA (St Maria Goretti Old Girl’s Association).

Victoria has served as the Vice-President of Trans-World Consultants Ltd. since 1982. Since 1991, she has served as a director of Trans-World Security Systems Inc. of Chicago, Illinois USA. She was appointed Executive Vice-President of Trans-World Security Systems of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA from 1984 -1988. She was formerly an instructor in her alma mater, St. Maria Goretti Girls’ School, Benin City (1981) and she served as a sub-editor in the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna (1979-80).

The Yeye Fiwagboye of Ilewo, is a Lifetime Member of “Cambridge’s “Who is Who” and a biography of “Who’s Who in Finance and Industry” and “Who’s Who in the World.” She has been honored as the Female Director of the Year 1997; Volunteer Leadership Award 1999 and Most Valuable Professional Award 2000 by the American Society for Industrial Security. (Nigeria Chapter).

She is the first Nigerian woman to be appointed to the Awards Committee of ASIS International worldwide and in May 2005 she was conferred with the Diamond Award for Professional Excellence. She is the founder of the Good Samaritan Foundation – a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of accident victims. Mrs. Ekhomu is a member of the Editorial Board of the Security Watch Africa Magazine.


Former Coordinator of the National Communications Agency and Special Assistant (Security) to the Commander in Chief. He served as the Director (Technical Services) of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) – 1995-1999. He served as GSO 1 Air Defence of the Nigerian Army and as Chief Instructor in Air Defence at the Nigerian Army School of Artillery.

A native of Biu, Borno State. Maj. Bantam is the Managing Director and Owner of Bantam Nig Ltd. of Abuja. He attended the Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna (1970-71) and specialized military courses in India, France, Germany Pakistan and Jaji (Nigeria).

Maj. Bantam is a recipient of the Defense Service Medal (DSM). He is a member of ASIS International (American Society for Industrial Security).
